This portrait of me, painted by Rosalie Watkins who works in Lavender Hill, London, was my leaving gift from the people of the University Church. I've written in a previous blog about the ambiguities of being the subject of a painting and how it makes it more difficult to judge the quality of the painting itself. But this has been widely admired both for technique and interpretation. The setting is the University Church, looking back into the Adam de Brome Chapel.
